Our tour guide, Amalia, was amazing. She was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She was funny too. She had a lot of great suggestions and insider tips for experiencing the area. This tour was better than paid tours. I feel bad for the guide though....I think half the people ditched her at the end and didn't tip. My group tipped generously because the tour was fantastic.

I am so glad that I read about this in the AARP magazine. It was a lot of fun and a very good look at the idiosyncrasies and the history of Seattle. The guy that gave the tour, whose name I cannot remember it this time, was funny and full of information.. I recommend this tour. It does go for 2 hours and there is of course walking and quite a bit of standing but I think it was definitely something that you should do. I wish I had done it when I first got there so then I would have known about the ferry to the other islands. But next time I go back I will know.

I love Seattle and wanted to learn more about the history of the city. I went on the 101 tour and it was amazing. Joe was a fantastic guide and was full of knowledge, energy and good natured humor. I felt like I was at a moving comedy show. The tour was two hours long and moved at a perfect pace. I went on it thinking if nothing else, I could learn something. It exceeded my expectations. It was entertaining, educational and felt a lot less touristy than I thought it would. I recommend it!

Joe! Joe! Joe! JOE!! I've been on many free walking tours throughout the world & Joe is the best tour guide I've ever had! Joe was personable, knowledgeable, friendly, pleasant, & funny (saved the best for last). I signed up for the 9:30a The Market Experience tour & Joe was so good I signed up for the 11a Pike 101 tour as well, both tours offered a plethora of information. I'm a proud Pike 101 graduate. I would definitely recommend Seattle Free Walking Tours if you're in the area!

The tours are running. Mask use is still required in Pike Place Market and in crowded spaces in the Seattle area until the end of March 2022
The Seattle 101 Tour ends at the Seattle Aquarium on Pier 59. It is about a fifteen minute walk from there to Pioneer Square where the tours of Underground Seattle begin.
There is no truly good spot nearby for RV parking. The best option would be to park either at Lumen Field (the football stadium) or Northgate Light Rail station. Both locations have light rail stops and are just a short train ride away from us. Lumen Field is closest at about 1.5 miles from our starting point.
The Market Experience Tours begin at 9:30am The Seattle 101 Tours begin at 11:00am During the Summer our schedule changes and we offer both tours multiple times per day.
We met at the totem pole outside Pike Place Market.
