Has anyone found any precious stones like amethyst or something like that?

This place isn't about stones. It's about fossils. They are tiny and usually discovered as a portion of small undersea creatures, but they're literally everywhere in the park and lying on the surface. It's really incredible to walk through an area covering a couple acres and see 300 million year old fossils lying on the surface with every step.

No precious stones. Lots of fossils...crinoid pieces, trilobites, a few species of shell creatures & fossilized dirt. Have fun!

Never heard of precious stones, many nice fossils.

I have not. It would seem pretty unlikely given the nature of the site. Most of it is very small pieces of ancient life in loose soil.
