No, they don't allow pets.
This is a bird SANCTUARY-that means it's a PEACEFUL QUIET place for bird PROTECTION and a REST stop for migrating birds. Getting chased by a dog, hearing them bark or maybe for some even just the SIGHT of a dog could stop birds from coming or maybe even destroy habitation. (You can't stop a dog from lifting their leg and leaving their scent everywhere etc. lol). The same goes for humans-we are to STAY on the paths and not pick the flowers etc.; it's also a place for insects, plant nector and such for FEEDING the birds. It's a GREAT place for schooling children on respect for nature. Read the literature or better yet read the website info before your outing and be their INFORMED "tour"guide; ask them questions to peak their interest. Have them earn a little cash beforehand to bring to the donation box in the little info center there! We went in there 1st for hands on displays which helped keep their hands off of stuff on the trail and gave them ideas of what to try to spot.Bring piknic!
Sorry, it's a very nice place to hike among birds, but dogs can not join you.
