The beach they talk about is man made and its posted with no swimming signs posted also dangerous current signs. Ft myers beach is om but sanibel is nicer. Cost six bucks to get to sanibel but well worth it. I recommend stopping on the causewaay free parking warm water. If you go to sanibel beach very crowded 4 bucks a hour to park after fighting traffic you may get to parking lot just to find iut its full and. Cant park anyway. Just do the causeway.
Yes, there is a beach on the property (river), but if you want an ocean beach, Fort Myers Beach is about 30 minutes away. You could also go to the Sanibel Island (about 45 min away).
There's a beach right next to property, but if you are looking for ocean beach about 20-30 minutes. Really not a bad drive.
