First night a worm like being that my wife thought may have been a centipede. Second night a roach, and I had to take a picture as proof. I do not leave these sort of reviews unless absolutely necessary. This hotel is in a GREAT location with very close proximity to Sanibel Island and plenty of shopping for all crowds. The room 126 has great decor, pool right outside your door, not at all noisy at night sans the first night of fireworks which sent the pup into a frenzy but no big deal. There is a 50/50 chance I would consider this place again, when checking out Wednesday morning I was going to discuss the pictures with the front desk......there were 4 people waiting and no one at the desk so I put the keys in the bucket and hit the road.

Great staff! Housekeeping, inn keepers, maintenance are all so friendly. Refurbished older hotel but it's nice. Need MUCH better pillows and more of them! Also recommend more lighting in the rooms. Nice pool and hot tub.

Beware of bed bugs. We stayed here for 3 nights and I have upwards of 30 bed bug bites still on my body. We didn’t read reviews before coming and sure enough, after getting bites and getting back home we find out it’s bed bugs. Praying we didn’t take them home with us. We stayed in room 119 and the room is obviously infested and the management seems to not care at all as they are still renting these rooms out to unsuspecting people. Do yourself a huge favor and don’t stay here. I also want to add that the room was not clean! After walking barefoot in the room, our feet were black! We had to wash our feet before getting into bed. Very gross when your think about walking barefoot in the bathroom and all the urine that must be on the floor.

Spent a night here and loved it. Very friendly, kind staff. Super clean! Comfortable beds! Great breakfast! Beautiful, warm, clean pool! The 3rd shift guy, Carlos was spectacular!! After checking in to another La Quinta across town for a 2nd stay a little closer to where we needed to be- we quickly discovered the "chain" is NOT the same. We left and came back to this location!! The other one (downtown) was probably the filthiest place I've ever been in!! Carlos was incredible with getting us situated back at this location- even tho it was after midnight by the time we got there! He went above and beyond to help us out and understood our situation and why we left the other location. Great job Carlos and to whoever is running this location!! (Carlos deserves a raise!)
