During the high season, reservations are often required. October - March usually don't require reservations, but it's worth calling ahead before making the drive.

It is a good idea to reserve a time. Many people these days are booking months out in advance. The pool is only open in the spring and summer. I went yo reserve a time in back in May for June and the first opening was September.
