My friend and I came in here just before closing for dinner. The staff were all so friendly and nice. The food was delicious too! I had chicken fettuccine Alfredo and my friend had the lasagna. I took most of my food home because there was so much.

I’ve been coming here for 10 years. The Penne a la vodka and shrimp Italiano is a go-to and still my favorite after all these years! The recipe has been consistent and never disappointed. The atmosphere is friendly and enjoyable.

I am giving 3 stars ONLY for the food. I would strongly suggest orders To-Go if you're not a regular. My 13yr old daughter and I patiently waited for 2 teas and bread for 30min. I proceeded to walk up to the, presumed owner, to ask for teas and she nearly took my head off. So if you're a regular, congrats!! If not, avoid the Queen of Hearts!! I did receive an apology from another regular patron who did advise me this was normal. Such a shame since the food was wonderful and even with just one cook, came out quickly. The piano man was also a pleasure. Note: I used to bartend and waitress in a huge tourist town so I am not one to judge harshly. This was just embarrassing and shocking.

We went to Carmelas on Tuesday night. Several friends had said their food was very good and it did not disappoint! We started with the complementary focaccia bread and herb infused olive oil, but we made sure not to fill up because the menu offerings sounded great. We were sharing a dish and couldn’t decide, so we settled on the Italian Trio, consisting of cheese ravioli, lasagna, and chicken Parmesan. There was plenty of food for both of us and each dish was excellent. The marinara sauce was superb and plentiful. (I hate it when a restaurant skimps on the marinara.) Service was friendly and prompt. The prices were surprisingly low for what we received. We added a bottle of Rocca del Macie Chianti Classico for a perfect dinner.
