I originally made reservations for 4, however it is 7 of us now. Is this allowed or will only 4 be permitted? I am seeing mixed answers when this question was previously asked so someone who has been in this situation, please advise.

If all 7 can fit into one vehicle, you should be fine

If you all in one car, they may allow, but not sure as we sent same count 4

If you have a SUV that can fit 7 people, you are good to go.

Reservation is per car and no more than 8 people

They allow up to 8 people per vehicle.
