Ft Walton Beach area will be cheaper than Destin & only a bridge separates the two.
We just used air bnb. 4 bedroom house a block from the beach, room for 8 people, same price as a single hotwl room
Lots of Condos for weekly rates. A little pricey but worth it for the amenities.
Tons of hotels within walking distance. Reasonable priced, ocean front. If you come in the summer prices will be much more. But still worth it for the experience.
I usually stay at Ft Walton beach. There are lots of hotels close. Oskaloosa Island Ft Walton Beach or Destin.
There's some efficiency hotels in the area...
