It says that the road through closes in winter. Understandable. Question is when does this typically start? Earliest it's been closed. What happens if you are in it when it closes?

We were told it opens in July. Currently its June. We were told because of how much snow is up there (around 80 feet) that the reason it stays closed until July. Also tge park now requires you to reserve you pass or ticket in a day in advance. If you plan on going please book online.

That is awesome. I would love to get through ASAP so we can see the snow.
