I would agree this summer is the best time to go you really get that effect

The Laura plantation is now open the majority of the year, excluding national holidays. The peak season would definitely be the summer.

I have driven past this Plantation several times. I finally visit it earlier this month. It is open most of the year. I suspect you would probably not get the full effect of the place without the benefits of everything being green and in bloom. So I would recommend going in warmer months in that cooler ones. But if you hate to sweat, go in winter!

We visited it in July. It was a good time for visiting this area. *** Recommendation: There are more plantations to visit near to New Orleans.
