Fort Vancouver National Historic Site is a lovely place to spend a few hours. Nice gift shop in the Visitor Center too. I had small children with me when I visited who weren't up for much more than running through the grass. I will definitely go back!

Always love coming here. Good place for kids to run around, plenty of tables, lots to see including their garden. This was from last fall.

Great place to walk, run or bike. Trails lead around the Fort, up along Officer's row and down alongside the Columbia River. Or relax in the shade or sun on the grass. And it's Dog friendly. Has good view of Mt. Hood.

This is one part of the Fort Vancouver experience. It's the original Fort. (There are other historic buildings, homes, and barracks nearby.) The price to enter is $10 per adult and free for kids 15yrs and under. The pass is good for several days if you want to revisit. There are guided tours, you will have to check the times/days. I believe most are in the morning. Right now, summer time, the gardens leading up to the Fort are bursting with flowers and plants. The paths are nice and level. The grounds are well maintained. COVID note as of July 2021: some parts are not open to the public. So, some of the buildings you can enter, some you enter, but cannot go through the entire building.
