There are visitor centers just north of Orick, in Crescent City, and on Hwy 199 at the entrance to Jed Smith park. My favorite hike is the Boy Scout Tree Trail. Visit the visitor center in Jed Smith Park for more information.
For great introduction and relatively easy and short hikes try Lady Bird Johnson Grove, Yurok Loop Trail and Simpson Reed Grove.
Among the best us one from the meadows of Prairie Creek to Fern Canyon. Depending on where you start it's about 6 miles. But there are many great hikes and online resources. Also check the driving tours in the area, for some fun in the way!
You can literally hike anywhere in the redwood and you will have an enjoyable experience. Look up some visitors centers in the area and they should be able to help you.
Just start walking anywhere its great
