Visit https://www.nps.gov, in the search box enter, "are dogs allowed in the park"? They are but only in certain areas. There is wildlife such as bears, coyote, elk, etc... in the Redwoods, which will become agitated as well as your dog if they encounter each other. The animals will pick up the dogs scent. There are rules, pick up your on dog poop and so forth. The National Park Service website is the best place to get answers when visiting the Redwood National Park. Hope this helps.

I didn't enter a place that was a park so to say when I went. I stopped at the visitor center in Crescent City and they sent me on my way with a good guide in hand. So far as I know, it's just a stretch of highway you drive with stops and outlooks along the way; your pups shouldn't be a problem.
