You are technically not on the right piece of land to do beach if you refer to waves and white sand. You will want to drive south thru Pensacola to gulf breeze and then Pensacola Beach for the best beach Recommend get a room on Pensacola beach. Enjoy the sunsets and the sound of the waves at night.

Yeah definitely not walking distance. The closet is 30 minutes without traffic.
Ya don't get this hotel if your looking forward to walking to the beach everyday:)
