Start out with bait you can get and afford. . some days youll catch fish and sone days you wont. Thats fishing.
You can ask the guy that sells bait at the end of the pier, he's helpful and his bait isn't too expensive. When I went he said shrimp was my best bet. Saw some fish caught but the best spots were already occupied, might plan on an early morning.
depends what you're fishing for. Cigs for kings, shrimp or sand fleas for pretty much everything else
