The restaurant at the fort is in the original mess hall of the 1909 lodge. My family enjoys eating there( try the buffalo chop steak). There is also a suttler store at the fort that sells buffalo bbq and hotdogs. On the way into Crawford is Stabbs drive inn and Dairy sweet bbq, both of which are good. If you are looking for chain restaurants, you will have to drive to Chadron ,which is about 26 miles.
There is a small restaurant downtown but the fort cafe closes down during the fall and winter.
R Bar and Vic's Downtown diner is wonderful!!! Try the ribeye!!!! Downtown Crawford! !!
Yea, there is a restaurant at the Fort....you may want to check if it closed after the labor day weekend? I know they closed most activities, but lodging was still available. Crawford has a nice little diner in town ( sort of on the main st) enjoy the area....its amazing.
