Depends on were you r and how dry it is. Lot of it is fed forest. Nationsl parks..need do some good planning and talking to people.
No reservation. No fires. Must be 200 feet in from road.
Yes but do your research there are limitations and rules but yes
There are certain trails that have statements saying you content there other trails in other areas that will not allow tents or fires so it all depends on where you are camping or hiking for that matter
I don't think so. They also have huts to stay in along some trails I also would be cautious. Wildlife is out and about.
There's a few remote camping spots in Franconia up Rt 3. It's carry in/carry out and you can stay up to 14 consecutive days. There's many state park campgrounds n some can be reserved which i do recommend doing so in the busy summer months do to the first come first serve policy.
There are designated areas, but I don't recommend them if you're not an experienced outdoors person.
Well unless your a highly experienced outdoorsman I definitely wouldnt suggest it. What you are suggesting is extremely dangerous. If you want to camp take a hike up Mount Kearsage North and spend the night in the fire tower.
There are places you woll need to contact white mountain national forest for actual rules
