Hello, To clarify, ButterflyFest, which is a special event held in the fall, is free, though there is still an admission charge for the Butterfly Rainforest exhibit. Regular admission to the Butterfly Rainforest is $14 for adults ($12 for Fla residents and seniors) and $7 for ages 3-17. I personal would wait, if the butterflies are all you are interested in. However, the museum has a lot of things to see and do, inside, even for kids. And - you can see butterflies too, when the rain lets up.
