The parking lot was fenced, but open to come and go. There were security cameras in parking lot. We stayed here for a week and didn't see or hear about any crime. Also the doors to lobby were always locked, you had to ring the bell or use your room key to enter from the street.
We sent two different nights there. It's a quiet, clean most importantly, the staff all were great. Enclosed parking and we experienced no problems.
I didn't have any problems with security nor crime. But I am sure like most cities there is crime, it just depends where you are located. Just always be alert and enjoy your visit
Agree with Ty but situational awareness is important.
Its pretty secure, fenced with only one entrance/exit by the lobby. We didn't see any crime there but just like anywhere you go you never know.
I would NOT recommend ANYONE stay here! They only want your money, they don't care about you as a customer! They promised me that I could use my Rewards points without any additional charges, well they lied. I called several times to confirm this before we traveled frim Texas to Memphis for my brother's birthday and when the 4 of us arrived, the front desk personnel argued with me in front of another customer because they wanted to charge a hold for incidental fees to my credit card, and additional fees for other items. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again! Also, I believe they are racist, just my opinion... I refuse to give my money to any company who disrespects me. I called the corporate office for Best Western and the representative argued with me and refused to make the hotel hold up to what was told to me when I first made the reservation and when I called to confirm both times. Their Corporate representative was very argumentuve, condescending and disrespectful.
