I was worried after booking the hotel then reading the reviews, but it was very pleased that my room was clean, all surfaces had been wiped and it felt clean. It is a 2 star hotel so it’s not great, some parts are old and my towel had a hole in it but it wasn’t gross and worked for sleeping and showering before getting on the road again. Parking area is small. There seem to be several security cameras facing the lot- although I didn’t need to find out if they work or not. Our stay was fine. Thanks!

I love the best western generation x when I need to stay in downtown Memphis. The staff is friendly and honest, the location is great, and the rooms have to be entered from the inside of the building. That along with the many surveillance cameras makes the generation x much safer. The contenintal breakfast is one of the best as well. I would recommend it to anyone.

Needs more parking and the door stays locked so if you don't have a key or just checking in you have to stand in the doorway. And very very rude and pushy when checking out at 1115 instead of 11:00. But rooms were nice

Room was clean, no bedbugs, staff was nice. The area is very sketchy, though. The shower was cold one time, even after running it for five minutes. The other two times the shower was hot, though. Our second night, there was yelling and banging in the hallway for over an hour at 1 AM. The bed and pillows were comfortable, though.
