Not to just do them in the Charleston area, but near Magnolia Plantation yes. You have to pay to get through the gate so you can walk in.

Yes! Magnolia Plantation charges the photographer a substantial fee to use the gardens! I am an amateur photographer and was taking engagement pics of friends. Staff actually approached me to let me know I should have checked in and paid the fee. I believe it is $150.
