Beautiful location with really clear water and a nice path. Also has benches to sit on around the lake.

Beautiful oasis on the peninsula! Perfect for a stroll or a seat among the beautiful greenery and flowers. The neighborhood all around is quiet and clean. A great place to walk the dog, read a book, or spend some quality time. And no tourists! 😆

We had a nice and peaceful walk here. less than 10 min walk around the lake.

Its very peaceful and enjoyable to walk around the lake. Very pretty views and quiet. I see ppl dog walking, running, strolling, rollerskating, taking naps, doing a workout, having a picnic or enjoying just sitting on one of the many park benches relaxing. A Charleston must do

There are fish and also shrimp in the lake! 🦐 There is a pipe that connects the lake to the Ashley River. Therefore, it's tidal! Thank you and goodnight. I will now like my own comment.
Yes
Not sure but it's not a lake for people to use for recreation... Just for views. (and some ppl fish there)
It is 0.5 miles if you were to walk on the outer sidewalk that's furthest from the lake, by the road. How I came up with the answer? Zoom into lake, select a point on the sidewalk surrounding the lake. It should pull up longitude and latitude coordinates. There will be an option that says measure. Follow the sidewalk around the lake.
Technically you could, but it would be a phenomenally bad idea.
No
Roughly 2. Each full lap is around .47 of a mile if you stick to the roads. So give or take 2 and maybe add an extra 1/4 of a lap just to be sure. Have fun!
On street parking around Colonial lake is free for residential parking spots for the time allowed by the signs if you are a non-resident.
Sometimes you drive around the lake until someone else drives off so you can grab a parking spot. Normally though spaces are easy to get.
Nope, no sightings of alligators that I've ever heard of
