Other than the history behind the plantation, I recommend the boat and tram tour. The gardens are the main attraction, you pay for all other tours. Very worth it. On the boat, the driver was extremely informative, as well as funny. Other people told us that the tram tour brought them up close and personal with the wildlife. The house tour was the least impressive, as well as short. It's great for first timers.
