I work close to this Walgreens and so have used it for prescriptions. I like the pharmacy staff and would continue to use them if it weren't for the location/clientele. There are a lot of homeless people with mental health problems who hang out around the store and use the restroom. I had a very scary, disturbing encounter with one today that led me to believe he could be a threat to people in the area, which is a busy part of King Street. I called the store and spoke to the manager afterwards, who did not seem at all interested in hearing what happened and told me in a somewhat rude manner "you can call the police if you want to." I called the police to report him, who said they would be on the lookout. The man mentioned having 100 guns to me in an unhinged way and I felt it should be reported just in case. While the location is convenient in many ways, I will be switching to another pharmacy after this experience.

Walgreens King Street Market is a great place for all the necessities you need to get by. It is centrally located in the middle of Charleston at King and Calhoun Street so it it easy to walk to from everywhere. I like that they have a food and drink section that has a lot of the essentials. It also has a Charleston local gift section for Charleston gifts that are at better prices than some other local stores. This Walgreens is one of my favorites.

I normally don't write reviews for Walgreens, because they typically always have the same blah service, but this location is the exception. We visited this location twice during our trip to Charleston, and each time we did, the staff was just so pleasant, I had to let people know. Not only is the staff here pleasant, it is a very unique location in general. There is a frozen yogurt and coffee bar INSIDE the store. It was never opened when we were there, but it was a neat concept.
