It is a nice forest with exposed petrified wood. It is labeled and you read about each stop. You can also use your phone to hear the info.
Its very nice and well kept. Totally worth looking at
It was pretty nice. A quite forest with large stones.
There's a small gift shop where you'll enter and pay a small admission fee to walk through the forest. The path is paved in some areas and then there are other sections of the trail which are not paved. They're dirt pathways, but it's easy to walk and buy stumble if you watch where you're stepping. The (live) forest is mostly pine, and there are petrified logs scattered around the property. Some are still partially covered by the earth, and there are informational signs along the trail that provide good information. It's not a long trail, but I found it to be very nice, quiet, and relaxing. There's even a special bench to sit on that's made out of a huge petrified tree trunk that would be a nice place to take a family picture!
Its a very intresting spot, definitely a "See it if you haven't before." Its a great place to explore the outdoors, in the summer spring or fall.
If you like the woods, the trail is beautiful. The little Shop is good for browsing or gifts.
Very nice with a lot of informative plaques along the way.
