Best place to visit and with a lot of history. The tour is in a jeep ride so anyone can visit the cavern, enjoy this natural beauty without any difficulties. The tour is 55 minutes long at nice 60 degrees. They also provide a group photo as part of the tour at no additional cost. Beautiful place and highly recommended. It is open most of the year. You and your family will not regret it.

Fantastic Caverns is a wonderful little surprise just outside Springfield Missouri. We had a group of eight, four adults, four children, and we were able to get on a tour within 10-20 minutes of arrival. The unique thing about this cave tour was that the whole tour is done from the comfort of a trailer being pulled by a Jeep. This makes it a great choice for young children, elderly or any visitors with mobility issues. Mark, our tour guide, gave us all the pertinent safety info before we headed out. During the tour he stopped and got out at specified stops along the way to give us a little history on the cave, and to show off the magnificent structures inside. This made it easy to get some good photos inside. He delivered the history and stories about the cave with all the wit and humor you expect from a great tour guide. If you are in the area, I recommend stopping in and checking it out.

Worth the stop for sure! Great history & science info on the guided Jeep tour. Cave is amazing. We took lots of pictures & they turned out great. Plan just over an hour (if there’s no wait & you plan on visiting the gift shop & looking around). Perfect for adults & children 4 & up.

We had the most outstanding guide for our cave tour! The lighting inside the caves were fantastic (pun intended) a very soft and indirect lighting that really set the mood throughout the whole tour. The seats were fairly comfortable, but could have used some kind of padding. The souvenir shop had plenty of items to choose from. And the whole staff were super friendly and very informative. Overall this was an experience of a lifetime, and if you get the chance, I recommend taking it.

There is a ramp to the loading area. The tram is like a trailer with bench seats on both sides. The jeep that pulls the tram has regular seats, he would probably be transferred from his chair to a seat in the jeep.
Yes. There is a gift shop. Shirts, rocks, mining helmet's, and much more.
My 3 year old was really excited to go to the cave. He almost made it all the way through without complaining about wanting to do something else. It is worth a try. The older 2 had fun.
Depends on how busy but they fitted about 20 people per tram
This tour is a ride through tour! Only walking you do is into the building to buy tickets and down the ramp to get onto the tram.

My boyfriend paid, but I think it was around $25 a person, but I don't know if they have different prices for kids
I'm not that sure but I think Arika Hamilton is probably right
Not sure but i dont think there is a charge for one that young.
Reservations are not needed jeeps leave every 20 - 30 minutes and tickets are only sold for the next jeep
Yes there are discounts for children, and seniors with IDs.
Yes ,they do.call them and make reservation so you can fet the best price
Pets are allowed on the tour. Just tell them at the ticket counter.
We went on a weekday and there were only 4 of us on the tram. My husband is very claustrophobic and he didn't have any problems. We thought there was plenty of space. A few overhead places to watch for but not closed in.
Yes. Fantastic Caverns is pet-friendly. Pets are welcome to accompany their people. Pets should be friendly and remain on a leash. Simply let the team at Fantastic Caverns know that you have a pet.

I don't believe so, they don't offer a military/veteran discount either
For the year 2021, admission for ages 13 and older is $ 28 per person, and admission for ages 6 to 12 is $ 17 per child. Children five and under are free with their parents. Tours are presented in English and the tour takes about an hour to get through the cave.
Yes. The Jeep-drawn trams used at the cave are equipped with pull-out ramps and can accommodate wheelchairs no larger than 28 inches wide and 45 inches tall.
I read online that they are indeed pet friendly, but I would recommend giving them a call to confirm. Great tour you will definitely enjoy it.
It is, my wife and i were just there for a tour. They do require a face mask since you are close to other visitors.
Yes they do. My son in law used his last week when we visited.
Its a camping place in same park, or several along the route there

I only saw a viewing platform.
I am sure there is.
I paid 98 for 2 adults and 2 kids just a month ago
And they give you a free group picture for every ticket holder. We bought 2 separate tickets so we got 2 given to my hubby and I. Another group had bought tickets together and their froyo only had gotten one. They had an elderly uncle from another state that wanted one so I gave him our 2nd copy is the family member wouldn't have to mail him a copy. So am sure they must structure it into the fee. Talking Caverns charged ten bucks for the picture they took when we went there. Fantastic Caverns was a much better tour. You will want to go
Yes they are open. Holidays may change hours of operation. The tram ride is covered. There is an inner cave that you can walk into. Ask your guide about it.

I saw other people take in dogs. Don't know if they we re service dogs. Call them and ask
I was there a few days ago. There are no senior discounts.
I didn't see a sign for one when i was there but it doesn't hurt to call and ask i guess.
Kids 6-12 $17 adults $24
There are 36 bats but you don't get near them. Or see them.
I wouldn't recommend it either there are some pretty steep grades.
My 18 months old girls loved it ... my 4 and 5 yr old boys thought the formations were amazing but did not like the total darkness part... All in all though when we finished it they wanted to go again...would have to agree with the others depends on the kid.
It is! They have ramps from the parking lot to the building and from the building to the tram. The entire tour through the cave is on a tram. Only issue you might have is there is an area where the ceiling is low and you need to tuck your head. It might be an issue if you have trouble with that.
All tours are guided. Visitors ride through the cave in wagons pulled by a jeep driving tour guide. The hours are 8AM until 7PM. Easter hours may vary.
You bet! I'm planning on going again this summer. The gift shop is awesome also.
If i remember correctly, they are every half hour. They cycle the trams fairly efficiency. We only waited 10 minutes.
25 $ each,well worth it !!
$24 adults $17 (6-12) 5 and under free. Group pic was $12 There are group rates also.
