1pm is check out, check in at 3pm. If sites are ready then they will let you at them earlier.
I'd recommend calling them. If there is an open spot you might be able to get in earlier. Last fall we went in at Dusk and paid in the morning when we got up. Just found an open site.
3pm check in. You can go to day use beach 1/4 mile away if you want to enjoy water earlier on arrival day.
