There are no 'lakeside' lots. The campground is about a quarter mile walk from the beach. Most sites are level and good sized with large trees.
We just stayed the last two nights on a weekend. The park was supposedly completely booked up. I was able to get a lot near the restrooms. But you're taking a chance. Next time I'll call ahead at least 2 months like my sister did to get the particular lot wanted.
