There is no state park in Michigan that I know of that will allow firewood from anywhere other than a source local to the park. Too much chance of contamination with invasive pests.
You can bring your dog if it's vaccinated and always on a leash. The bathrooms are wonderful. Sites vary in size, but are generally very nice. It is a great park.
I’m here right now. Bathrooms and showers are actually fantastic and cleaned every night. Each camping “loop” has a building with I believe 6 personal showers stalls. The actual camp sites are really nice, each has 30amp camper outlets and 110 “household” outlets. Only 2 cars per lot though and it is enforced nightly. DNR officers will patrol each night and shush you if your too loud after 11. 10pm is quiet time but with camp fires and whatnot they push it to about 11. They have firewood for sale and many of the locals near the park sells wood. Dogs on a 6ft leash and I’ve seen many dogs here. They will evict you if your dog is a barker at night, after complaints though.
