You might be able to go with a cellular (e.g. "4G") connection, but that would depend on how far in you go, and who your carrier is. My cell connection works out to the beach, if that helps.
iPhone on ATT and innthe campgrounds and the beach I have no less than 3 bars LTE.
Metro pcs works pretty well out there, signal grows weaker the closer you get to beach, no signal on beach
I had cell service (Verizon) everywhere except at the beach.
