How much walking is there

The parking lot is a short walk to the lighthouse.

Pay to park in Portland. Walking to stores and places to eat not far. Elizabeth Island and light house is free parking and little walking or a lot of walking depending on what you want to do. Elizabeth Island is so beautiful.

Walking is easy on paths and trails... So much beauty in one place to see. Does get busy, so depending on where you get to park, walking will be more or less. Well worth the walking and time spent there.

Walking to the lighthouse is a not far. But if there on a busy time expect to park much farther out. There are also some forts there you can walk to. But all are easy walks either on pavement or smooth dirt path.

Parking lot is a short walk to the lighthouse. From there is is up to you to determine how far you want to walk to get the best picture, climb on rocks, etc. But there is not a large amount of walking.
