Can one climb the interior of the lighthouse and is it open in October?

It is open in October, but you can't go inside of the house.

It is open, I was there last weekend. There was some people that had climbed up to the light so I asked the guy behind the museum desk if we could go up and he said only Coast Guard and employees can go up.
