The lobster is cooked fresh when you order it and the view is incredible! Naming it the "shack" is accurate, the building is very unassuming. But don't underestimate this place! The process of ordering is quick, and they call you when you're food is ready, so the line moves fast. You can't beat the view, either. The parking lot is large, but with the waves of people that flood in, it fills fast.

Could not ask for a nicer location to enjoy fresh, delicious seafood! We went at 3pm on a Saturday, short line, quick service and plenty of open tables by the water. Food was great, and you have to try the home made biscuits. We'll be going back for sure!

The area is beautiful. I arrived before noon and had plenty of time to enjoy the amazing views. Line was long, but quick. A bit pricey, especially for the portion, I ordered the clam boat. I was very disappointed in the quality/taste. After driving 3 hours I realized I have much better seafood choices close to home

One of the many stops on our lobster roll feast! Yummy food - we split a lobster roll & crab roll + clam chowder. There was a long line to order at the counter & we were lucky to find a table inside during the windy, not-so-warm spring weather of Maine, but there is plenty of outside seating & seagulls patiently awaiting your crumbs. I also appreciated there being a beach right by to go seashell/sea glass hunting!

We brought our 2 dogs with us....didn't try bringing them inside....large outdoor area with several picnic tables...best scallops I've ever had and I'm a Maine native!!
Yes! We sometimes bring our dog to sit under our table.
Did not see any, but it was our first night there, was pretty crowded, parking was not great and just wanted to get a bite to eat. Food otherwise was good.
open at noon today I think
Yes, The Lobster Shack opens 7 days a week from the end of March through the end of October. Hours are 11am - 8pm Summer is till 8:30pm
What's a rude question. Obviously not a prison. Gorgeous views, consistent good food. You pay mostly for the view... If you are coming for fine dining or bargain prices... Go to a fine dining place for that.. Or McDonald's for a cheap lobster roll... Try to get the crow bar out for your wallet and pay to go to two lights park for similar views
You have to go to the gift shop side. It's gravel so kinda bumpy.
Not exactly, the kitchen takes gluten free requests seriously but there aren't many explicit options that are made gf.
October 25
Inn by the Sea.
they have fried , baked and steamed. All food is exceptional
You may bring your own beer and wine, but we do not allow picnicking of other outside foods/drinks on private restaurant property.
Late March to late October! 7 days a week. (This season is March 30-October 27)
There is a menu on the wall and one at the counter. Also on their website.
Yes they take credit and debit card. Have fun its a good spot.
We always open the last Saturday in March, so the 30th this year!
It's not a long drive from the city and wharfs in Portland.. that opens up to several hotel choices. Plus its quite a nice drive, less than 30 minutes of a scenic drive. You also pass a great park/Fort William's I believe to take a long walk and work up an appetite
Open every day through October 28!
They take credit for sure and then that means most likely debit cards too.
All required and applicable licenses and permits continue to be posted in the hall as always!
I don't think any real close. It's out in farm country, next to the Two Lights State Park.
Yes, there is a nice outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the view with your pet.
