Very beautiful place. I was in awe for the first time having never been to Maine or New England in general. I came back three times before leaving the area. Make sure to check everything out the park has to offer, not just the light house. Definitely get some lobster rolls and look at the view!

Absolutely stunning! A must see! Hard to describe in words. Definitely make this part of your trip while in the Portland area. You won’t be disappointed! Plenty to see and do even if the weather is subpar! Check it out!

Such a beautiful place to spend time by the ocean. The forts are cool and fun to explore. Portland Head Light is one of the best lighthouses in the state and is a must see! Highly recommended stop if you are in Portland for the day

Great spot to see the water as well as the lighthouse. Best part for us was being able to climb down on the rocks near the water to get very close to the water. Great pictures and really beautiful to look at. We didn't go to any of the other lighthouse spots so can't compare them, but everything was great about this place.

Yes, on a leash only with the exception of the farthest South end of the park. Maps at the park will show you where, also maps via internet and their own website.
I think not, but there is a lot of food and many restaurants Zeeshan Hyder
Parking is available year-round. Parking is free in the winter (Nov-March), and metered the rest of the year.
Sure. I do all the time.
There is no cost
The castle is easily seen from the entrance to the park. You can park in the lower lot and walk right up to the castle.
I would say yes. You could drive near the lighthouse for a quick view. Then park by the rock beach. You could have a cook out there. You can grill your own food. You can enjoy the view.
Yes, but can be very treacherous. I'd recommend fishing off The Spring Point Lighthouse. Plan the tides.
Port-o-potty's are throughout the park. It's a beautiful place to visit.
Sunrise to sunset. Getting there prior to 10am seems to be the best way to beat the rush, but there is plenty of paid parking.
Better to go to Willard as they have a lifeguard in the summer but yeah you can swim in the cove between the cliff walk and old coastal gun battery
I did not see any drinking water when I was there last week.
The beach is quite rocky, and there are often large boats passing by in Casco Bay. Kettle Cove or the Spurwink River in Scarborough might be better for a kayak.
From the Bite Into Maine food truck, if you walk directly away from the water back toward Shore Road, you'll see it overlooking the tennis courts
Minimum time is 2 hours, so the basic fee is $4. If you are willing to walk, there's an overflow lot near the Children's garden without a fee. Season passes are worthwhile if you come more than 4 times in a season.
Yes!
There is no entrance fee, but you do need to pay the town for parking in the most popular lots. Check out the Children's Garden, which was funded by donations to Friends of Fort Williams Park.
Yes. Pathways are clear to walk with dogs off leash.
Yes, there are multiple parking lots that will accommodate your motorhome
No Overnight Parking us allowed in the park
They just started a parking fee. Visitors can buy a $2 per hr ticket at one of the many kiosks....with a minimum 2 hrs. $10 full day pass....or seasonal for $15. Residents of Cape Elizabeth are free with a pass.
You can walk up to it. You cant go in and go up the stairs. Only look from outside...but its a beautiful spot and dont miss it if your in the area.
Open at sunrise...
You cannot climb on the mansion, but you can on the forts
I would not swim here.
There are herbs in the garden ur referring to
Traveling from Vermont so I can only hope I will get lucky and have one available thank you
