They have different hours for summer vs. winter. I would call them or visit the website.

Do you need to order a ticket days ahead, or just buy one upon arrival?
It all depends on how busy we are. There are many times that we have tickets available 10 minutes before departure of tour time. However that is not guaranteed as we are are subject to the whim of people coming through the door. Tourism can be highly unpredictable. The earlier tours usually have available seats though and it is always suggested to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the departure times.
When I was there during winter hours, the last tour leaves at 2pm.
It's either 3 or 4 pm.
