When I took the tour it was only about 1.5 hrs...the ride across the lake was about 15 mins, the ride in bus up about 15 mins. ..it was a great bus ride & informative.. while you wait for your tour (not long) you are in the exhibit center where you can see items and learn more about the various "rooms". Tour guides are very informative and history about the caverns interesting.
