We concur! Google has been trying to direct drivers through Sunny Point Military Ocean Terminal (which is federally restricted space and is closed to the general public) since early 2021. We recommend that you notify google of this issue by suggesting a correction on their maps/directions page (we have been doing this to no avail since the issue started). We are located half way between Southport and Leland on HWY 133. Follow the brown North Carolina Historic Sites signage, which will lead you straight to the site.
From Leland take hwy 133 toward Southport. About 10 to 12 miles you will see signs for Brunswick town. It is roughly between Leland and Southport.
