I would think 30 minutes. Walking in the sand is hard work! I also went with kids though and that takes longer. For a quick view and pics I would park at the stores across the street and enter that way

Some of the best photo spots are at the sound side of the dunes, which means walking the entire length of the dunes. I'd give yourself a hour if you really want to get quality shots. There are a few good places right at the entrance of the dunes if you're really looking to be fast, those would only take 15-30 minutes (but the water will be no where in sight).

30mins - 1hr. The experience climbing the dunes and the photos you'll get are totally worth however much time!

About 15-20 minutes. Gives you enough time to get to the tops of the dunes for good pics.

If you have smaller children I would plan 1 hour or more. Its a very nice place why rush it. Its also Free. Follow the boardwalk to the sand then go up the hill for the Best Pictures
