I believe the steam takes longer to reach the top

I've heard steam is also much louder. I chose bio and it was very pleasant.

The steam engine is more traditional and cost more. You owe it to yourself to go on a steam train once in your life. Of course there are other steam trains around. Either steam or the diesel one would be a great time.

Steam takes a little longer - price is the same ( 72-80$ for adult according to weight) ( you have to be weighed to determine your price)

We took the biodiesel. No soot/smell. View is the same. Same wooden bench seats in both.
