The answer to your question is Yes it is in violation of California health codes but ADA has paved the way for service animals which there are only two types allowed to be true service animals a dog and a miniature horse There are only two question you are allowed to ask one is "Is that a service dog" and two "What physical disability has it been trained to help with"also the ADA does not consider emotional support or companion as service animals so they are not exempt from the law of no animals in stores We as the public should start making an issue of people bringing them in the stores the ADA laws were written to help

NO DOGS ALLOWED AT GROCERY OUTLET PERIOD!! While shopping at the outlet on many different occasions I have witnessed pet owners told, at the door,not to bring them in, unless they are service animals...they are on top of it there.
IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO ALLOW PETS AND SOME SERVICE ANIMALS TO BE ANY PLACE THAT SELLS FOOD. SEEING EYE DOGS AND DOGS WHO ASSIST PEOPLE IN WHEEL CHAIRS ARE ALLOWED. AS A GUIDE DOG USER I HATE THAT YOU CAN GET A FALSE DOCUMENT ON LINE THAT STATES YOUR DOG IS A SERVICE DOG BUT THE CATCH IS THE DOGS MUST ALSO BE TRAINED FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE THOSE DOCUMENTS SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN AS "THE REAL THING" THEY ARE NOT.
It is not only Wal mart but IGA , Safeway , Grocery Outlet etc. The dog owners think because they love their dogs everyone should. I hate it when I see a dam dog in the basket where I am going to place my food. Also I dont want a dog jumping on me, if they do they will get a boot
Law enforcement should spend some quality time at our Clearlake store and check permits!! none, fine the hell out of them.. look whats happening to the airlines!!!
We all know that the majority of the dogs that are in there are not legally considered service animals..
If you are traveling and you leave your dog in car on hot day than you are the worst kind of person. Its not like they are getting into the food they are just staying alive .If a dog behave's than I don't see anything wrong with it and I don't own a pet
I've never seen any animals there.
