It's vey cute place located deep in the woods. No bugs in the rooms :) The restaurant is excellent!
It bugs me that I couldn't stay there forever.
When I stayed there they said it was originally supposed to be built near June lake. The name "June Bug" fit. They ended up changing location and kept the name.
The whole park is bug themed... bug sculptures, remote control bugs...
As mentioned, it's a theme. There are a few metal/industrial art pieces on the grounds resembling bugs. It's a nice quiet place with a great lodge to hang out in (and get food too).
Its a mascot, in a parody on the wall gives the story. You need to visit to get the story. Or visit their website
It's just a theme. Super cute place. No bugs when we were there 2 months ago. 😎
There's statues of bugs on the outside though.
