Agree with the other answers 100%. The room we we're in had a really nice view of the bay.
You can walk to the bay (beautiful and peaceful), and it's a quick drive to the ocean side of Bodega Head, which faces the ocean (beautiful, cliffy and usually windy).
It is easy walking distance to the bay. However, if you want sand and surf, you will probably want to drive or bike.
To the bay but you would have to drive a short distance to be on beach
