What is the quality of the trails? Is there high grass, etc? Basically, is it okay for shorts, or would pants be better for protection?

Shorts are fine. Sturdy shoes are essential for crossing the stream and for the slippery rock by the tub ❤️ I've read that there are a lot of snake nests especially around the tub area but we only seen one baby snake on the whole trip thankfully. Have fun it's gorgeous!
