There are lots of trails and picnic areas. The park is free but swimming in the pool or camping has a fee.
Pretty sure you have to pay to get into pool even if you don't swim

Only camping and pool admission cost money. Caledonia is situated in michaux stateforest. The AT runs through the park and forest and numerous sites to see. Hiking rock scrambling/climbing. Cayaking.... whatever your heart desires is here.
Yeah you can go without paying entrance fee
You can go down just to visit, it's a public space and they have a pool there as well if you need to cool off.
