As a general rule, state and national parks don't usually allow you to disturb the land or remove artifacts from the park.
I was wondering too since of civil war activity nearby but I'm going to ask park office when I get there
You could always take it and stop at the ranger office near the entrance and ask on your way into the park. I have never seen anyone using one there.
"Oops, I didn't know" should work.
State park don't know check their website I'm sure the digging part would be frown on.
I have seen people detecting there but like everyone else is saying... it doesn't hurt to ask. Better safe than sorry.
Ask first
I've seen people w metal detectors
I have not seen signs forbidding but i would call park office.
