Not sure about age, but the website or a call may answer that. You can hold with a credit card, no deposit held when I booked in October 2019, and pay when you depart. If you need to cancel and don't within the cancellation period, they will then charge your card.
I did not check if there was an age restriction. Yes with a debit card and i paid in advance
