IKEA products are low quality and customer support is extremely poor on the phone and in the store. If you are having difficulties I am not surprised. I have had many issues with thier furniture and delivery and spent hours trying to get them resolved. My sympathies! They may look nice and seem cheap but the hidden costs are much greater in annoyance.
Take the broken piece to customer service along with the item number of the actual furniture item you purchased and they'll replace that 1 piece in store For free usually. Any missing screws, faulty pieces, or broken pieces they usually replace for free as long as the item isn't discontinued and the part you need is in stock. NO MATTER WHEN YOU PURCHASED IT. (I had no receipt and they replaced a drawer front I purchased 4 years prior, that got broken in a move.) (IKEA is the best!!)
Go to the store and tell them what happened or look on line for a different number
Return the whole thing and buy a new one
