How close is there a town that you can drive to

That is probably right but the general store they have has things you may need.

45 min by car to a real town if you want to go out.

I think around 6-8 miles. Nothing else around the actual campsite. You will pass a couple towns on your way to the campsite. We sometimes stop and pick up the rest of our supplies there. They have a camp store in the campground which has practically everything you'll need including some parts, helmets, gloves, Drive belts, Etc and all kinds of food fresh and frozen, ice and firewood also.

I believe 7 miles, not sure. But the campground has a general store that you'd be surprised with what it carries in a pinch. Not much around otherwise.
