Closed on the weekends. It is NOT ok to double park, and the parking lot is NOT private. It's open to the public, it doesn't even belong to the DMV; it's there specifically for the customers (you just have to get there when it's not full).
There really is in parking but they do street sweeping until 1 on Tuesday and Friday so if you come a little before then you could take one of those spots
And no parking anywhere. People are double parked, apparently that is ok. Lot to dmv is private if course
